Date Night!

There are a couple things to think about when trying to plan a fun night out in London, Ontario:  1. Where to go?  2.  What to wear?

A favourite dinner spot for the SR ladies is The Tasting Room, a couple blocks down from us on Richmond Street. We love that you can choose a few plates from their sizable appetizer menu and share them, or enjoy a delicious main. We recommend taste testing a flight of wine and finding a new favourite to have with your meal.

Below Jesse and Holly are trendy-casual ready for their date! Their look is effortlessly chic with pieces that offer versatility. With just a few easy changes in accessories, Holly's look can easily take her from the office desk right to dinner. Jesse's sweater can be worn back to a button up shirt and slim pant for a more work appropriate look.

Fun and fashionable, both in attire and location!

Jesse is wearing:  Autumn Cashmere, James Perse, The Fry Company, Graf & Lantz and Fidelity Denim

Holly is wearing: Vince Camuto, Doma, Marie Saint Pierre and  Amet & Ladoue

Comfort + Fashion

With the cooler weather moving in, we all tend to turn to comfort clothing. Sometimes incorporating comfort into your wardrobe is tricky, but it doesn't mean you have to compromise style! Turn to luxe textures and chunky knits. Try an oversized sweater or a fabulous coat. Play with boots, scarves and a statement hat. Have fun with Fall and layer up!
Holly and Jesse are not only fashionable, but extremely cozy and comfortable during their afternoon picnic in the park.

Holly is wearing: Ecru, Svee, The Frye Company, Sno of Sweden, m0851, Myka, House of Harlow, Mode France.

Jesse is wearing: Vince, Graf & Lantz, J Shoes

From Trousers to Skirt

How cool are these Rundholz trousers that can be transformed into a full skirt?  At our Fall fashion show Gail-Lynn rocked the great print head to toe and taught us just how versatile these bottoms are.  Try them with anything from the matching jacket to a chunky knit or a fitted tee: the possibilities are endless!

Hounds + Fashion

Have you ever taken a hound dog out for a walk? In case you haven't, make it known that they are STRONG!  We couldn't stop laughing as the three of us SR ladies did our best to keep hold of the two pups. We had a fun afternoon with great Fall fashion, beautiful weather and these adorable hounds. Our looks feature:

Brianna: Svee, Sarah Pacini, Rose Pierre, Vince Camuto, Happy Socks & Ronen Chen
Holly:  Fidelity Denim, Autumn Cashmere, Citizens of Humanity, Ayala Barr & The Frye Company
Jennifer: Autumn Cashmere, House of Harlow, Mode France, Theory 38, Rich and Skinny & The Frye Company.

Shake Shack

Our only day "off" in New York was perfect! Exactly the kind of day you want to spend walking along 5th Avenue, window shopping and taking in the NYC vibe. Still trying to recover from the 3 prior days of appointments, we were happy when we made it to Madison Square Park and could stop for a late lunch at Shake Shack. Perhaps not gourmet, but incredibly delicious mushroom burgers, fries and shakes! Although sad to leave the big apple, we knew we had exciting Fall goods and a Fall fashion show to get home to.

Sporting our casual looks: Jonathan is in a James Perse tee, Vince pants and Frye Company shoes. Brianna's outfit features a Hoss shift dress, House of Harlow Shades and a Liebeskind bag. Jennifer is wearing Theory, Rich & Skinny, Brave Leather and a Liebeskind bag. Gail-Lynn is rocking an Autumn Cashmere cardi, Vintage Shades Scarf and Rich & Skinny pants.

Bryant Park Lunch

We were fortunate to have beautiful weather while in New York. The kind of weather that is crisp enough to remind you Fall is moving in, but warm enough in the sun to feel like it's Spring. Timing is everything, and we wrapped up our Vince appointment (conveniently located next to Bryant Park) just in time to get a bite to eat and take in some fresh air.

Jonathan is decked out in Vince, Gail-Lynn and Brianna are wearing Lida Baday, and Jennifer is in Theory.

Coterie, D&A

With Fall in full effect at Saffron Road, we’re getting ready for Spring 2014! Sound crazy? It is, kind of. But now that we’ve received most of our cozy Fall goods, we need to think about what’s next. Though we do a lot of the buying in Toronto, we recently spent 4 busy days in New York City scouting for treats to fill the store for Spring 2014.

We started our trip at the Designers and Agents Show (D&A). It’s a smaller trade show, but the best for finding new and unique collections from all over the globe. We also had a few appointments around the city, but spent the bulk of our time at Coterie. Coterie is a giant trade show with hundreds upon hundreds of booths with pretty much everything fashion.  There are so many great things to choose from and so many decisions to make, including the ever-famous…what do I wear today?!?! Keep checking our blog over the next few days to see what we got up to and of course, what we were wearing!
